Former Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor is in his second training camp with the New York Jets. Last season he backed up Aaron Rodgers, but the Jets moved on from him the former Green Bay Packers and brought in former first-round pick Justin Fields, who was with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Taylor underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, which head coach Aaron Glenn called a "minor scope", to fix what has been bothering him for more than a week. He will miss the rest of the preseason, but New York and Glenn are hopeful that he'll be ready for the Week 1 opener against Pittsburgh.
