Curt Cignetti extension at Indiana sends a strong message to schools with vacancies

With every move that happens around college in the coaching carousel, it's going to affect Virginia Tech. They were the second school last month to fire their head coach Brent Pry after UCLA fired DeShaun Foster.

Since then, other power conference schools, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Penn State are just a few who have an interim coach. After Penn State fired James Franklin, that became the most desirable job of the current openings.

Virginia Tech has hired a committee to find the schools next coach with a search. There have been some names linked to the position, but truth be told, it's going to take time as an candidates that are currently head coaches are just at the halfway point in their seasons.
