At yesterday’s presser, Virginia Tech cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell, talked about what his impressions were early in fall camp. In one word: competition. Mitchell had an impressive playing career at B.Y.U., and played three seasons in the N.F.L. with the Atlanta Falcons. His coaching career began at B.Y.U., and had stops with Texas Tech, East Carolina, West Virginia, and finally Virginia Tech. When Mitchell signed with Virginia Tech, the twittersphere was aflame. Any time you get a quality coach is a good thing. Any time you get one over on West Virginia, even better!
Coach Fuente also had some interesting things to say at yesterday’s press conference.
