GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech track and field’s distance runner Vincent Ciattei has been recognized as the 2018 ACC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
Ciattei is the fourth Hokie to earn the prestigious award, joining Alexander Ziegler (2013), Torben Laidig (2017) and Hanna Green (2017).
Sixteen Hokies were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, with eight on both sides.
Ciattei took home the silver medal in the men’s mile with a school-record and personal-best time of 3:58.
