The news of Isaiah Ford leaving Virginia Tech was a surprise. Many of the pundits talked about Ford staying on to cement himself in Virginia Tech’s record book. I don’t blame Isaiah Ford one bit for leaving, so let’s look ahead, shall we? If you take a quick look at the depth chart, the one returning receiver with any type of resume is Cam Phillips. Phillips posted his best year in 2016. He hauled in 76 receptions for 983 yards and 5 touchdowns. That’s pretty impressive. Factor in that he was lined up in the slot for most of his snaps, makes his stat line even more impressive.
