Caleb Farley out for season with knee injury

Virginia Tech freshman wide receiver Caleb Farley is out for the season due to a knee injury, Justin Fuente announced on Thursday.

The injury to Farley’s knee, which took place in Wednesday’s practice, was a non-contact injury. While Justin Fuente did not speculate on what the specific injury was to Farley’s knee, there were rumblings around Blacksburg late on Tuesday that Farley may have torn his ACL in the afternoon practice.

Farley was one of a handful of early enrollees this past spring for the Hokies, and saw time at both defensive back and wide receiver throughout spring practice.
