BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Chris Clarke scored a season-best 18 points to carry Virginia Tech to a 93-40 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Sunday.
Clarke hit 7 of 9 from the floor, including all three of his 3-point attempts for the hot-shooting Hokies (9-1), who won their seventh straight game. The nation's highest scoring team coming into this one (96.6 ppg), the Hokies scored more than 90 points for the seventh time this season.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting, and Ahmed Hill finished with 15, as Virginia Tech shot 54.
