The transition that the Virginia Tech football team badly needed has begun. It started with the firing of Brent Pry on Sunday, and there are expected to be more changes coming higher than the head football coach.
The program is going to struggle the rest of the year, and decisions are going to be made by players over the next week or two in terms of their futures in Blacksburg. Interim coach Philip Montgomery will lead the Hokies the rest of the season, beginning this weekend in their final non-conference game at home against Wofford.
At 0-3, a win would certainly be welcomed after losses to South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Old Dominion to begin the season.
