The Virginia Tech women's basketball team was looking to follow up its big win on Thursday night at Syracuse with a win at home over a struggling Boston College team on Sunday afternoon. On top of stringing a second straight win together, the Hokies were looking for some revenge after losing last season in Chestnut Hill, Mass., in a game that proved very costly when it came time for selection into the NCAA Tournament.
Boston College entered the game winless, and a loss by Megan Duffy's team would have been devastating, to say the least.
