The Virginia Tech Hokies have been on fire on the recruiting trail for quite some time, and the news just continued to get better on Independence Day.
The Hokies were able to gain the commitment of 3-star running back Caleb Steward on Tuesday, as he chose Virginia Tech over Duke, Bowling Green, Boston College, East Carolina, and a host of others.
Steward is a 5’11”, 203 lbs. running back out of Ed White High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and is the first running back to commit to the Hokies in the 2018 class. Steward is tabbed as the 70th rated running back in the country and the 170th ranked prospect in a stacked state of Florida, according to 247Sports.
