If you decided to give up after 30 minutes of action, you missed out. The Virginia Tech Hokies defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks, 35-24, in one of the most impressive comebacks in school history.
After trailing 24-0 at the half, the Hokies appeared dead and looked well on their way to another disappointing performance.
Then, the defense stepped up.
Anthony Shegog and Mook Reynolds were especially impressive in the second half. Shegog forced a fumble early in the second half that led to Tech’s first touchdown. Then, Shegog picks off another pass and the drive was capped off by an impressive Sam Rogers’ touchdown catch to make it 24-14.
