It's imprudent to perceive fourth-ranked Virginia's two-game losing streak as a death blow in early January. Dreams don't die in January. Sometimes they change, but they rarely die.
Still, Ralph Sampson, Olden Polynice, Roger Mason, Cory Alexander, Rick Carlisle and the other former Cavaliers standouts should call Virginia into a room, look it in the eye, grab its hand and ask, “What's wrong?”
The Virginia team that a few weeks ago looked like the preeminent program in a stacked top tier of the ACC will limp into the upcoming week's slate after back-to-back losses to Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech, plus a third road loss to an unranked team.
