What went wrong statistically in UVA basketball's loss to GW?

UVA suffered its fourth loss in seven games. Below are five stats that help explain the upset to GW.

The Virginia Cavaliers Men's Basketball team was upset last night by George Washington 68 to 73. There are several things that what went wrong for UVA, but here are some of the statistics to explain the loss:

  • The Cavaliers gave up 73 points in a regulation game for the first time since the infamous Tennessee blowout game back in December 2013.
  • The Hoos were called for 24 fouls, their most since the Maryland ACC/Big10 Challenge game last December, and only the third time overall in the past 5 seasons.
