Virginia’s win over North Carolina was big for a couple of reasons. First of all, the Hoos won its sixth game of the season which makes them eligible for a bowl game for the second straight season. Secondly, it puts Virginia in good position in the ACC Coastal Division at 4-1. Both Virginia Tech and Miami lost this week, giving the Hoos sole possession of first place.

After the game, Coach Mendenhall had a decision to make: who would break the rock? Senior wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus set a new UVA record as the all-time reception leader with 211 (now up to 213), but Coach chose quarterback Bryce Perkins for the honor.
