The Virginia Cavaliers’ athletic department has begun one of its most ambitious undertakings to date, a so-called master plan that provides for (among other things) the building of a football-specific building to accommodate and accelerate the resurgence of the UVA program. Cavaliers head coach Bronco Mendenhall can’t be more ready for the process to begin.
Mendenhall said on his radio show Tuesday night that his excitement level is “off the charts” after the Board of Visitors approved the construction of the building last week. Mendenhall continued by praising the high-octane efforts of first-year athletic director Carla Williams and her vigor in re-establishing the Hoos as regular ACC contenders.
