Virginia’s basketball schedule shows that it already has March in mind

CHARLOTTESVILLE — The back wall of Virginia Coach Tony Bennett’s office in John Paul Jones Arena is a panoramic snapshot of the Cavaliers’ home game against Louisville last season, the game when Virginia’s men’s basketball season flat-lined. Wing Justin Anderson broke his finger in the first half and though the Cavaliers won that night, they never were quite as good again.

Instead, Virginia ran into a Michigan State team that did get hot at the right time, upsetting the Cavaliers in the NCAA tournament round of 32 en route to a Final Four appearance.
