The Virginia Women’s Soccer team captured a 4-1 win over Louisville in the quarterfinals of the 2020 ACC Tournament. Second year Diana Ordoñez had three goals in the win as the Hoos peppered the Cards with 21 shots. Virginia absolutely dominated, holding an advantage in shots (21-7), shots on goal (7-4), and corner kicks (5-1).
All four Virginia goals were assisted as the Hoos moved the ball well throughout the game. Alexa Spaanstra scored the fourth and final goal for UVA, and assisted on the first goal of the match. The hat trick from Ordoñez was the first in an ACC tournament since 2004, and she is — per the post game story from Virginia — the fifth ever player to score three goals in an ACC tournament game.
