Virginia Women's Golf Advances To Fourth Round of NCAAs

Virginia notched its best round of the tournament Sunday (-2). The Wahoos are tied for 8th going into Monday's final round of stroke play.

Senior Lauren Coughlin shot 4-under 68 and junior Lauren Diaz-Yi shot 2-under 70 as the Virginia women's golf team advanced to the final round of stroke play at the 2016 NCAA Championships. Virginia shot -2 as a team during Sunday's third round and moved into a tie for 8th at 9-over for the tournament. The Wahoos' performance on Sunday was by far their best of the weekend.

The NCAA Championships initially feature 24 teams playing three rounds of stroke play.
