The Virginia women’s basketball program will face five teams that played in the 2017 Sweet Sixteen, including opening the season at national runner-up Mississippi State, in the 2017-18 season.
In addition to the Bulldogs, the Cavaliers will face Maryland in out-of-conference play, with the Terps coming to JPJ on November 29th for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
Louisville, Notre Dame, and Florida State were the ACC’s three teams to make the NCAA quarterfinals in March. Virginia gets the Irish at home, FSU on the road, and has to play Louisville twice.
After a 20-13 season ended in the NIT, UVA returns 10 letterwinners and four starters including 2017 team rebounding leader Jocelyn Willougby and fellow All-ACC Freshman honoree Dominique Toussaint.
