Virginia updates depth chart for Wake Forest as Bronco Mendenhall speaks on QB situation

Virginia Football head coach Bronco Mendenhall met with media on Monday afternoon and gave updates on some pertinent injuries for the team. Starting quarterback Brennan Armstrong is in concussion protocol after taking a brutal hit to the head in the second quarter of Virginia’s 37-21 loss to NC State on Saturday.

“Brennan suffered a concussion in the game on Saturday, and he’ll have to work through the protocols this week,” Mendenhall said. “From my understanding it is his first [concussion], and so it’s possible that he could return and be ready for this week. It’s really day-by-day as he works through the protocol.
