The UVA Corcoran Department of History, the College of Arts and Sciences and the athletics department at Virginia will be hosting a panel discussion on “Athletics and Race,” featuring athletics director Carla Williams, former Hoo and two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Long, and former UVA basketball player Akil Mitchell. The panel will be moderated by UVA professor of African American and African Studies and History Claudrena Harold.
The panel will take place at Nau Hall on Friday, April 27 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public, but limited to just 245 people.
