The Virginia Cavaliers stayed at No. 3 in the latest AP Poll as the top four went unchanged. No. 1 Tennessee held the top spot for the third straight week, followed by Duke at No. 2, and Gonzaga at No. 4.
Virginia had a tough week as they had turnover problems and had to play without Ty Jerome, but the Hoos still picked up two wins over ACC competition. NC State had an even tougher week, losing to Virginia in overtime and putting forth the worst offensive game of basketball in the modern era against Virginia Tech. The Wolfpack fell out of the rankings, giving the ACC six ranked teams this week (tied with the Big Ten).
