The Virginia Cavaliers’ 65-54 win over 11-17 Georgia Tech was closer than expected but ended up being an 11 point win for the Hoos. This was the 19th time UVA has defeated a team by double digits this season. Only six teams have done that more often this year.
Going back to Virginia’s recent run of success in 2013-2014, this is the 102nd time the Cavaliers have defeated a team by 10 or more points. Only Villanova, Gonzaga, and Wichita State have done that more. Looking at the same time frame, UVA has only lost seven times by 10 points or more.
