Fans of Virginia Soccer and DC United are in for a treat this coming fall as the Hoos are facing off against old ACC foe Maryland at DCU’s future home. The game is scheduled for Monday, September 7.
The new soccer stadium, located near the Washington Nationals’ stadium on Buzzard Point, is set to be opened July 14, 2018 for its first game for DC United. Ticket information has not yet been released, nor has the full schedule for the Cavaliers’ soccer team.
Virginia went 12-4-5 last year, ending their season with a 1-0 loss to Fordham in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
