The Cavalier football coaching staff struck gold on the transfer market today getting a commitment from Notre Dame transfer John Montelus.
The 6-4, 310 pound was a 4 star recruit coming out of Everett, MA with a star studded offer sheet. Out of high school, he was recruited as an offensive lineman, but was switched to the D-line going into Notre Dame’s bowl game last season.
It’s unclear what position the big man will play, but most would assume he would help UVa’s O-Line, which is in desperate need of experienced help even going into the 2017 season.
