It’s a new standard, indeed. The Virginia Cavaliers are bowl eligible, have sole possession of first place in the ACC Coastal Division, and can now add ranked No. 23 to their list of accomplishments this week.
The Hoos broke into the AP Poll for the first time since 2011 when they occupied the No. 24 spot on November 20th. At 6-2 (4-1 ACC), Virginia is in a good spot to win the Coastal division as they have games remaining against Pitt, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech in conference play. Pitt will be no easy test come Friday night as the Panthers are coming off of a big 54-45 over Duke and have the ability to put up points in bunches.
