Virginia Football: Darious Latimore To Undergo Major Surgery

The bad news continued for the Virginia defensive secondary Thursday night when sophomore cornerback Darious Latimore announced that he’ll undergo ACL, MCL, and meniscus surgery on Friday. While there’s been no official word from UVA coach Bronco Mendenhall, it appears that Latimore will be lost for the season.

Virginia fans had high expectations for Latimore following a successful end to the 2015 campaign. The Lawrenceville, Georgia had interceptions against Miami and Duke last November and appeared in line for a starting spot in 2016. Latimore missed much of fall camp due to a suspension, however, and did not appear in any of UVA’s first five games.
