Virginia drops ACC road game to NC State, 35-21

The N.C. State Wolfpack were the toughest test the Hoos had faced so far this season, and Virginia was unable to get enough going offensively to pull off a road upset as they fell 35-21 in Raleigh. Virginia is now 3-2 on the season, and fell to 1-1 in the ACC.

NC State’s defense held the Virginia running game in check, only allowing 93 yards on the ground. Bryce Perkins went 20-for-35 for 258 yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions. Olamide Zaccheaus had himself a solid day with 109 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
