With an opportunity to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2011, the Virginia Cavaliers were blown out by Boston College 41-10. UVA was favored by seven points, but were manhandled by the Eagles on both sides of the ball.
The Hoos defense uncharacteristically gave up a season high in yards and points, while the offense was held to their season low in yards and points as well.
Boston College jumped out to a 24-0 lead just 20 minutes into the game, stunning the homecoming crowd. The Cavaliers were never able to recover and will have to try again next week to get their sixth win of the season.
