The Virginia Cavaliers were picked by the ACC basketball media to finish third in the conference, behind the Duke Blue Devils, who received 85 of 91 first-place votes, and the North Carolina Tar Heels, who received the remaining six first-place votes.
Senior leader London Perrantes received five votes for the ACC Preseason Player of the Vote and was named to the 2016-2017 Preseason All-ACC First Team, along with Duke’s traveling shooting guard Grayson Allen, Clemson’s Jaron Blossomgame, North Carolina’s Joel Berry II, and NC State’s Dennis Smith.
Virginia’s season tips off at 7:00 p.m. on November 11 at UNC-Greensboro.
