Virginia basketball celebrates its 110th anniversary

A long time ago in a galaxy not too far away, Virginia basketball was born. Today, the UVa basketball program turns 110. We here, at Streaking The Lawn, are very grateful that Virginia basketball exists. Not only does it give us something to write about, but also something to be excited for every year (nowadays).

The Wahoos first played in Fayerweather Gymnasium, which is now Fayerweather Hall. Many of you will know Fayerweather Hall as home to the McIntire Department of Art. Some cool history on Fayerweather Gymnasium can be found here. Eventually, the 'Hoos moved to Memorial Gymnasium, where they played from 1924 to 1965.
