Virginia Baseball’s Branden Kline Retires

After a stellar career with the Virginia Cavaliers, Branden Kline was selected 65th overall in the 2012 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Since then, he has made appearances with the Orioles and been a mainstay with the Bowie Baysox and Norfolk Tides in the Orioles’ farm system.

Today, after a career beset with injuries, Kline called it a career.

Kline ended his MLB career with 37 appearances over two seasons including 34 in 2019. Over those two seasons, he registered a 5.48 ERA and a 1-4 record while making appearances for the Orioles out of the bullpen.
