Virginia just couldn't finish. After getting on the board first in the sixth, then taking a three run lead in the 10th, the Hoos just couldn't close out the pesky Boston College Eagles and fall in 13 innings 5-4.
I don't know what he rest of this season holds for the Hoos, but if it results in a missed tournament, this will be the weekend to look back on. Each time the Hoos pulled ahead, they let the Eagles back in it just a half inning later.
Sunday's matchup proved no different from the rest of the weekend, as both clubs got quality outings from their starting pitchers.
