The Cavaliers will get some help at an unstable tight end position, thanks to Charlie Hopkins' decision to transfer after graduating from Stanford, according to a release from the Virginia's official athletics webpage.
After starting his collegiate career as a defensive lineman, Hopkins made the transition to blocking tight end. Although Hopkins has only two receptions to his name, he believes his background could pave the way for more production as a pass-catcher with the Cavs.
"I had just switched to tight end and was still trying to figure out the position," Hopkins told Virginia Cavaliers athletics.
