It’s official!! The Virginia Cavaliers softball program has been selected to play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.

They will play as the No. 2 seed in the Knoxville regional, hosted by No. 3 overall seed Tennessee. They open against Miami (OH) on Friday at noon. Dayton will face off against the Volunteers later that day, all on ESPN+.

Postseason outlook aside, UVA is having by far their best season under Joanna Hardin. They are currently 32-18 (15-9), with a resume that includes series wins over Duke, who is now a regional host, and a Clemson squad that was ranked #11 at the time.
