After a 2-0 week, Virginia moved up two spots in the AP Poll to #11 and one spot in the USA Today/Coaches Poll to #12. Despite losing, Oklahoma held on to the top spot in the AP Poll, followed by UNC, Iowa, Kansas, and Texas A&M. The coaches have UNC at #1, then Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, and Texas A&M.
A few notes on the AP Poll:
- The past week was a bloodbath. Nine of the 12 teams ranked in front of UVA last week lost. Virginia jumped SMU, Michigan State, and Arizona, but Providence, who beat Villanova on the road, moved in front of UVA.
