On his weekly ACC teleconference, Virginia Cavaliers basketball head coach Tony Bennett confirmed to the media that senior guard Tomas Woldetensae would not be available this Wednesday when the Hoos host NC State due to contact tracing protocols. He had also missed this past Saturday’s one-point loss at Duke.
Woldetensae has played in 18 of Virginia’s 20 games this season, averaging just 13.8 minutes a game. He’s shooting 42.9% from the floor and 44.4% from the three, but off limited opportunities. In the Hoos’ loss to Florida State last week, he went 3-of-4 from beyond the arch and 4-of-5 overall in just 12 minutes of play.
