Virginia alumna Tina Fey made a triumphant return to Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update on Thursday, touting a Virginia sweatshirt, putting the neo-Nazis and President Trump on blast, and scarfing down as much cake as a six-minute segment would allow.
“It broke my heart to see these evil forces descend upon Charlottesville," said Fey, who graduated from UVA in 1992.
"I would urge people this Saturday,” Fey said, “instead of participating in the screaming matches and potential violence, find a local business you support — maybe a Jewish run bakery or African-American run bakery — and order a cake with the American flag on it, and just eat it.
