Baseball America released their preseason All-America list today, and you may recognize a few names on it. Virginia’s Pavin Smith (first base) was the lone Wahoo on the first team as Ernie Clement (second base) and Adam Haseley (utility) were both named to the second team.
All three players were outstanding for the Hoos last season (and in the 2015 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP season). Smith was second team All-ACC last year for first base and was second on the team with 57 RBIs. Clement was the fourth toughest player to strike out last season (one strikeout in every 21.
