In case you didn’t know, Virginia and North Carolina football games go way back. To be exact, the two schools first squared off in 1892. Virginia won that matchup 30-18 in Charlottesville.
Of recently, the Tar Heels have been the more consistent football program. Last year, they went to the ACC Championship Game and gave Clemson a run for their money. The AP Poll had them ranked #22 in their preseason poll and they remain at that same spot right now.
This Saturday, UNC will come into Scott Stadium for the next installation of the South’s Oldest Rivalry.
