Ty Jerome led the Cavaliers with 18 points - including 4-for-6 from three - and chipped in five assists. DeAndre Hunter and Mamadi Diakite finished with nine points apiece.
The Hoos shot 48% from the field and 50% from three, and turned the ball over just six times.
Ben Lammers had a huge day for the Yellow Jackets with 22 points on 9-for-15 shooting as GT shot 43% from the field.
