The Virginia Cavaliers have elected their 2018 team captains in senior TB Jordan Ellis, senior HB Olamide Zaccheaus, and senior OLB Chris Peace, the school announced via Twitter on Monday morning.
This is the first time each of these players have been team captains. Last year, Virginia also had three team captains (Kurt Benkert, Quin Blanding, and Micah Kiser), as well as a rotating fourth team captain each week, a special teams member, determined by the previous week’s performance.
Last year, Ellis started in all 13 games as Virginia’s do-it-all back, averaging 3.
