The 2015-16 college basketball season is young, but we already have a major upset. On Monday night, the Virginia Cavaliers became the first top fifteen team to fall when they went on the road to George Washington.
Patricio Garino led the balanced George Washington attack with 18 points.
For the Cavaliers, Malcolm Brogdon was the standout performer with 27 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Unfortunately, it was not enough to help the No. 6 team avoid the upset.
When the final buzzer sounded, the Cavaliers found themselves on the wrong side of a 73-68 scoreline as they fall to 1-1 on the season.
