Okay, so an 0-2 start wasn’t what everyone had in mind when the season began two weeks ago. Some fans even began depressing talk of a winless season after the setback against Richmond. In doing so, all they did was demonstrate to the world that they hadn’t watched college football closely for years, but’s that not the point here.
The point here is that for a football team that is going through growing pains while adjusting to new schemes and coaches while dealing with personnel shortages, today’s game is a golden opportunity. Today we face a Connecticut team that narrowly beat FCS opponent Maine, and then saw a comeback attempt against Navy fall painfully short.
