TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State has stumbled out of the gate in the first two weeks of Atlantic Coast Conference play.
The Seminoles went 10-2 in non-conference games, which was their best start since 2010-11. But for the second straight season they have lost three of their first four in the ACC. Things don’t get easier as Florida State faces three ranked teams in a seven-day span starting Sunday when it hosts No. 13 Virginia.
With four freshmen and a junior college transfer, coach Leonard Hamilton expected his team’s inexperience to become more evident. But he has started to see signs that his team might be turning the corner after Wednesday’s 85-78 victory at North Carolina State
“It’s hard when you are dealing with guys who have not been there and done it but they are growing and learning,” Hamilton said.
