Szokol tied for individual medalist honors as Virginia finished sixth at the Stanford Regional.
Once again, the 2016 Virginia women's golf team used a clutch performance from one of its seniors to achieve postseason success. This time, however, it was senior Elizabeth Szokol who led the charge. Szokol's brilliant play helped Virginia finish 6th at the Stanford regional on Saturday with a score of 883. By doing so, the Cavaliers advanced to the NCAA finals by one stroke over Colorado, who finished at 884. It will be their ninth trip to the NCAA finals in the program's 13-year history.
