It’s been quite a run of days for the Cavalier baseball program. Pavin Smith were drafted No. 7 & 8 overall in the first round of the MLB Draft. Tommy Doyle taken in the 2nd round on Monday night. Ernie Clement and Alec Bettinger were drafted in the 2nd day of the draft. No recruits have been drafted!
And now news has broken that former UVa outfielder Derek Fisher has been called up by the Houston Astros nearly three years to the day of his draft!
Per his dad, Cedar Crest grad Derek Fisher is headed to Houston to join the Astros.
