Andre Miles-Redmond is a senior defensive lineman from Richmond, Virginia. He’ll likely be a rotational player on UVA’s defensive line this fall. Miles-Redmond practiced at defensive end in the spring, but he might also be called on to provide depth at nose tackle. As we mentioned yesterday in the James Trucilla piece, Virginia is awfully thin at nose tackle behind Donte Wilkins.
Looking back on Miles-Redmond’s career, I can’t help but wonder if he should have been slotted on the offensive line. He was first-team all state as an offensive guard during his senior year of high school, and he was ranked the 78th best offensive guard in the nation by Scout.
