The Virginia Cavaliers’ coaching staff got more good news Wednesday when Cypress, Texas tight end Jack Witmer made his pledge to the Wahoos.
The three star 6-6, 225 lb TE was offered by the Hoos in early July and visited the Grounds almost immediately.
Witmer obviously represents a “sizeable” threat from the tight end position and is ranked No. 61 nationally among tight ends by 247sports.
In addition to Virginia, Witmer held offers from numerous ivy league schools as well as Iowa State, UCF, and Air Force, among others.
