COMMITMENT: UVA women’s basketball lands UCF transfer forward Adeang Ring

Coach Mox and the Virginia Cavaliers made their first roster addition of the offseason on Monday, securing a commitment from UCF transfer Adeang Ring.

A 6-foot-5 forward from Sydney, Australia, Ring will be a sophomore next season for the ’Hoos with three seasons of eligibility remaining after appearing in 23 games for the Knights this past winter. While playing 12 minutes per game at Central Florida, Ring averaged just 3.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game but shot an efficient 40.2% from the floor albeit on very low volume.

Although originally from Sydney, Ring played high school basketball at Bella Vista Academy in Pheonix, Arizona, where she was the second-highest rated player in the state according to Prep Hoops and a four-star prospect via ESPN in the class of 2024.
